Autism/SEN friendly activities at Birmingham Museums for 2018
Birmingham Museums programme of Autism and SEN Friendly sessions at Birmingham Museums for 2018. This year we are including sessions at the fantastic Dippy on Tour – a chance to see Dippy the Dinosaur from the Natural History Museum here at Birmingham, as well as quiet and welcoming visits to Thinktank, Sarehole Mill and Blakesley Hall, all at reduced price. We’re also linking up with the Coffin Works who provide Autism Friendly tours on certain days, so do give them a try too!
Our first session is at Thinktank, the Science Museum, on Thursday 22nd February, so please do book! I would be very grateful if you could share this poster with the parents, carers or groups you work with. If you would like any more information, please do get in touch. Why not also visit a Relaxed Tour at Coffin Works at 11am.
Their Relaxed Tours are designed for people on the Autistic Spectrum, with learning disabilities, or sensory of communication disorders. The environment and tour are adapted to reduce anxiety and stress.
