Project Aspie is a UK based award winning organisation geared towards raising the profile of people with Autism within the community.
I founded Project Aspie as it was originally a simple idea that stemmed from my late diagnosis of Autism in July 2010 when I was twenty-five-years of age.
I wanted to put something back into the community and I wanted to offer help and support to others with Autism including Asperger's within the community
Project Aspie was initially an award winning Community Advocacy and Support Website and went from strength to strength in a short space of time winning various National and Regional Awards.
It made its transition in becoming a new organisation mid through 2013 and since then Project Aspie has grown in development and is geared towards raising the profile of people with Asperger's and Autism within the community.
Project Aspie was created and developed to improve and inspire people with Autism to live healthy and independent lives within the community.
We have a simple ethos “Project Aspie is run by Autistics to inspire others with Autism” and it is this ethos that makes Project Aspie different, new and unique.
Everything which Project Aspie creates and develops is for people Asperger's and Autism and Project Aspie is passionate and a supporter on the great importance of Autism Lived Experience.
Our Motto is “Everything is possible but without will power there is nothing”.
Our Aims, Objectives and Values as an organisation is to:
Improve the quality of lives for people with Autism within the community.
Raise awareness of the positive qualities of Autism.
Provide unique opportunities for people on the Autistic Spectrum to gain Confidence to live a healthy and independent life.
We are committed and dedicated to see an Autism friendly environment in Employment, Education and Independent Living.
Project Aspie is growing as an organisation and Project Aspie wants to create New Community and Enhanced Innovations that will benefit, help and support people with Asperger's and Autism.
