Catalina George - PR & Videographer
I am a freelance journalist with an interest in the third
sector, in community and psychology. Also, I have experience as a support
worker for adults with learning difficulties, a number of them either with
autism or Asperger. I felt enriched through supporting these people and
learning from them.
With 5 years of experience as a teacher and 8 years in the media, I have now nearly completed my MA degree in Online Journalism, with the project Video production and digital content for the third sector.
I learnt about Project Aspie through their March event and I also covered the ReAttach conference in Eindhoven, at Graeme’s invitation. A strong believer in empowerment, inclusion and equality, I decided to join the team in May 2018. With the upcoming ‘Alphabet 12’ big gala event, I am looking forward to the opportunity to use my media knowledge, as well as my passion for organising events and getting people together. I am really interested in rising awareness and empowering people on the spectrum.
Besides my media work, I am also a writer and poet actively engaging with the literary scene in the West Midlands. I am a little bit of a geek to, a superhero fan and a passionate PC games player.
